(,iGEN5E ''' .S*,Lia wVASTF, S CA tj"& lt. 1- R EC:S G .59 S- 14 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND LICENSING SCAVENGERS, PROVIDING A FEE FOR SUCH LICENSE, AND REGULATING THE COLLECTION AND STORAGE OF GARBAGE, RUBBISH AND REFUSE IN THE VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY_ , ILLINOIS, PASSED AND APPROVED THE 9th DAY OF AUGUST, 1960, AS AMENDED BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois: Section 1,, That Section 1 of an Ordinance Regulating and Licensing Scavengers, Providing a Fee for such License, and Regulat- ing the Collection and Storage of Garbage, Rubbish and Refuse in the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois, passed and ap- proved the 9th day of August, 1960, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended, and as amended, shall read as follows: "Section 1. Scavenger icense Reauired. No person, firm or corporation shall engage in the business of scavenger or garbage collection within the village limits of the Village of Oakbrook without first securing a license to conduct such business. SucbL license shall be purely a personal privilege and shall not constitute property, nor shall it be subject to attachment, garnishment or execution, nor shall it be alienable or transferable, voluntarily or involuntarily, or subject to being encumbered or hypothecated. Such license shall not descend by the laws of testate or intestate devolution, but shall cease upon the death of the licensee, provided that the executors or administrators of the estate of any deceased licensee, and the trustee of any insolvent or bankrupt licensee may continue the business hereby licensed , and may exercise the privileges of the deceased or insolvent or bankrupt licensee until the expiration of such licenses' Section 2. This amending ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as is by statute in such cases made and provided.
