AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G-93
"THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK,
ILLINOIS, OF 1968" 1 PASSED AND APPROVED OCTOBER 22 ,
1968, TO PROHIBIT THE USE OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
BY CERTAIN MOTOR DRIVEN CYCLES AND SNOWMOBILES
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois, that:
Section 1. That Section 1. 01 of Article I of Ordinance No.
G-93, being an ordinance regulating traffic and vehicles in the
Village of Oakbrook, passed and approved by the President and
Board of Trustees on the 22nd day of October, 1968 , be and the
same is hereby further amended by adding to the list of defini-
tions in the proper alphabetical order the following, to-wit:
"MOTOR DRIVEN CYCLE
"Every motorcycle, including every motor scooter,
every bicycle with motor attached or motor bicycle,
with less than 150 cubic centimeter piston displacement. "
"SNOWMOBILE o/I, Cc'
"Every self-propelled device designed for travel
on snow, ice or natural terraine steered by wheels,
skis or runners. "
Section 2. That Article III of Ordinance No. G-93 is hereby
further amended by adding to Article III a new Section 3 . 50 , which
shall read as follows:
"Section 3. 50. MOTOR DRIVEN CYCLES.
" (a) It is unlawful for any person to do any act
forbidden or fail to perform any act required in this
section.
" (b) The parent of any child and the guardian of
any ward shall not authorize or knowingly permit any
such child or ward to violate any of the provisions of
this ordinance.
".(c) These regulations applicable to motor driven
cycles shall apply whenever a motor driven cycle is upon
any street or highway,.
"l. No person shall exercise any degree of physical
control of a motor driven cycle on any street or highway
within the corporate limits of this Village unless such
person has a valid driver' s license issued under the pro-
visions of the State of Illinois Driver 's License Act. "
Section 3 . That Article III of Ordinance No. G-93 is hereby
further amended by adding to Article III a new Section 3. 51 , which
shall read as follows:
"Section 3. 51. SNOWMOBILES. OR GO CARTS
" (a) It is unlawful for any person to do any act
forbidden or fail to perform any act required in this
section.

"(b) The parent or guardian of any child or ward
shall not authorize or knowingly permit any such child
or ward to violate any of the provisions of the section.
"(c) These -regulations applicable to snowmobiles
shall apply whenever a snowmobile is upon any street or
highway.
"L. No person shall exercise any degree of physical .
control of a snowmobiLen �y�'as� eet or highway in the
corporate Limits of this Village.
Section 4. ALL ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith , to the extent of such conflict are hereby repealed .
Section 5 . This amendatory ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
as -required by Law.
