AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G-11,
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT .AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
ON THE 18TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1960 , AS AMENDED,
TO ADOPT THE DU PAGE COUNTY PLUMBING CODE
AND ELECTRICAL CODE
Whereas, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village .
of Oak Brook did on the 18th day of February, 1960, .adopt "An
Ordinance Establishing Rules and Regulations Fo r the Construction,
,
Alteration, Repair, and Conversion of Buildings Within the Village
of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois" , known and designated as
Ordinance No. G-11; and
Whereas, P ursuant to Section 1-3-1- of the Illinois Municipal
Code of 1961, the Village of Oak Brook is authorized to adopt by --
reference the provisions of any building regulations which have `!
been filed in the office of Village Clerk and kept available for

public inspection; and
I Whereas, the County of DuPage has adopted a Building Code and
portions of the same are deemed appropriate and applicab, ,e to the
Village of Oak Brook and in the opinion of the P:-esident and Board
of Trustees should be adopted by reference and that Ordinance No.

G-11 should be amended accordingly; and

Whereas, Sections 400-412 inclusive of the DuPage County
Building Code, passed and approved October 23 , 1961, as subsequently
amended July 23, 1969, and known as the "Plumbing Code" and Sections
500-514 inclusive of the DuPage County.. Building Code, which was
amended March 24, 1970 , and known as the "Electrical Code" , have
been on file with the Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook for
more than thirty (30) days, and that three (3) copies of said _
publications, as published, have been on file with said Clerk for
said period of time;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of .,
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook as follows:
Section 1. That that portion of the DuPage County Building Code
known as Sections 400-412, passed and approved October 23, 1961, by
the Board of Supervisors of said county, as subsequently amended on
July 23,' 1969, and known as the "Plumbing Code" , be and the same are
hereby adopted by this reference and shall be known and designated
as Sections 400-412, "Plumbing Code" , of Ordinance No. G-11.
Section 2 . That that portion of the DuPage County Building Code
known as Sections 500-514 , passed and approved October 23, 1961, by
the Board of Supervisors of said county, as subsequently amended on
March 24, 1970 , and known as the "Electrical Code" , be and the same
are hereby adopted by this reference and shall be known and designated
as Sections 500-514, "Electrical Code" of Ordinance No. G-11.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and ef-
fect from and after its passage and publication as by statute in
such cases made and provided.
PASSED and APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook this 28th day of July, 1970.
