AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G-11,
PASSED AND APPROVED 'BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
ON THE 18TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1960, AS AMENDED
AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. G-54 PASSED AND
APPROVED JULY 14, 1964
Whereas, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village '
of Oak Brook did on the 18th day of February, 1960, adopt "An
Ordinance Establishing Rules and Regulations For The Construction,
Alteration, Repair and Conversion of Buildings Within The Village
of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois" , known and designated as
Ordinance No. G-11; and

Whereas, the President and Board of Trustees did on July 14,
I, 1964, adopt an ordinance amending Ordinance No. G-ll, which is
known as Ordinance No. G-54, and by said ordinance the said .
President and Board of Trustees did by reference adopt the rules
and regulations contained in the Suburban Building Regulations For .
Residences, March 1964 Edition, which had theretofore been published
in pamphlet form; and
Whereas, the rules and regulations contained in such publica-
tion have been updated and revised and have been published in
revised form under the name, title and description of the "Suburban
Building Officials Conference Building Code" , January 1970 Edition,
entitled "Rules and Regulations For The Construction, Alteration,
Repair and Conversion of Buildings For Residential Purposes"-; and
Whereas, it is the opinion of the President and Board of
Trustees of h
e the Village of Oak Brook� that the revised edition

should be adopted and that Ordinance No., G-11 should be amended
accordingly; and
Whereas, the said "Suburban Building Officials Conference
Building Code" , January, 1970 , Edition, entitled "Rules and Regula-
tions For The Construction, Alteration, Repair and Conversion of
Buildings For Residential Purposes" , has been on file with the
Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook for more than thirty (30)
days, and that three (3) copies of said publication, as T*'�Iblished,
have been on file with said Clerk for said period of time,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook as follows:
Section 1. That that portion of Section VIII of Ordinance No.
G-11 entitled "An Ordinance Establishing Rules and Regulations For
The Construction, Alteration, Repair and Conversion of Buildings
Within the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois, " passed
and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook on the 18th day of February, 1960 , reading as follows:
and the Suburban Building Regulations For Residences,
April, 1957 , Edition,"
be and the same is hereby stricken and the following be substituted
in lieu thereof:
"Suburban Building Officials Conference Building Code,
March, 1964 , Edition, entitled "Rules and Regulations
For The Construction, Alteration, Repair and Conversion
of Buildings For Residential Purposes" . "

Section 2. That Ordinance No. G-54, passed and approved
July 14, 1964 , be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as by statute
in such cases made and provided.
PASSED and APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oak Brook this 14th day of April ,
1970.
