AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE G-76 OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS , PERTAINING TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF SAID VILLAGE , RE-ESTABLISHING AND REORGANIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF SAID VILLAGE; CREATING THE OFFICES THEREIN; ESTABLISHING THE METHOD OF APPOINTING; AND PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS APPOINTED THERETO BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois: Section 1. That Paragraph 1 of Section 6 of Ordinance No. G-76 , being "An Ordinance Repealing Ordinance No. G-4 of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois , Pertaining to the Police Depart- ment of Said Village; Re-establishing and Reorganizing the Police Department of Said Village; Creating the Offices Therein; Establish- ing the Method of Appointment; and Prescribing the Duties of the Officers Appointed Thereto" , passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of said Village on the 26th day of September, 1967 , be, and it is hereby, amended and as amended shall read as follows "Section 6. Police Patrolmen. The office of Police Patrolman is hereby created. Police Patrolmen shall be limited to sixteen (16) in number unless such number is other- wise changed by the President and Board of Trustees. Police Patrolmen shall be appointed by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Oak Brook pursuant to the Statutes of the State of Illinois and the rules of said Board. " Section 2 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as by statute in such cases made and provided.
