G-154 - 10/09/1973 - AGREEMENT - Ordinances /f AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CONDITIONS FOR CONNECTION TO THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK'S REMOTE ACTIVATING EQUIPMENT BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, as follows: Section 1. All persons , firms , partnerships, corporations and other entities which in the future or currently as connected or otherwise utilizing- the remote activating Burglar Alarm equipment in the Village of Oak Brook Police Department are subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Ordinance. Failure of. said' users to abide by the terms and conditions set forth herein shall be grounds for disconnection from the system, as the Village may from time to time .determine. Section 2. All users of the system shall maintain their individual equipment in good repair and working order. Any defects shall be repaired by the user upon discovery of the defects. Section 3 . No person, firm, partnership, corporation or other entity shall, intentionally or negligently cause the transmission of a false alarm signal to the Village of Oak Brook Police Station through the system. In the event a false alarm signal is received which is responded to by the Oak Brook Police Department and it is determined that the false signal was due to the negligence or intentional misuse by the user, its agents, employers or persons under the supervision and control of the user, or due to the user's failure to properly maintain or repair its equipment, the user shall be assessed the sum of Twenty Five Dollars for each false signal received and responded to by the Village of Oak Brook. Said assessment shall be paid within forty eight hours to the Village. Collector. In the event any user fails or refuses to pay the assessment made hereunder it shall be grounds for immediate disconnection from the system. Section 4 . Any user who has been disconnected from the system shall not be reconnected to the system until it has been demonstrated to the Village personnel=.that adequate safeguards to preclude future false signals have been taken by the user plus proof of payment of past due assessments . Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and affect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law. PASSED and APPROVED this 9th day of October , 1973. APPROVED: /,G/ George B.
