AN ORDINANCE AMENDING G- 177 , TIIE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE VILLAGE
OF OAK -BROOK, ILLINOIS, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR REGULATION
OF TRAFFIC ALONG SPRING ROAD BETWEEN OAK BROOK ROAD-;AND ADAMS ROAD
WHEREAS, the President and Board or Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook have heretofore enacted Ordinance G- 177
being an Ordinance regulating traffic within the Vilage of Oak
Brook, which Ordinance has from time to time been amended; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook deem it advisable and in the best interests
and in :Furtherance of the general welfare and safety of the
citizens of the Village that said Ordinance No . G- 177 be further
amended to provide additional traffic regulations governing Spring
Road ; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Vehicle Code , Chapter 952 of the
Illinois Revised Statutes , specifically authorizes local authori-
ties to regulate and restirct traffic movements in the interest
of thepublic welfare and safety;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TIIE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK
COUNTIES, ILINOIS as follows :
Section 1 : That the provisions of the preamble here
inabove set forth are hereby incorporated herein as though fully
set forth herein.
Section 2 : That in accordance with the provisions of
Section 1-913 of Ordinance G- 177, Sechedule IX thereof, entitled
"Prohibited Turns" is hereby amended by adding thereto the fol- .
lowing:
"It shall be unlawful for the operator of any,
vehicle to make any turn or other traffic
maneuver so as to travel in a southerly
direction onto Spring Road between Oak
Brook Road and Adams Road between the
hours of 3 : 00 P.M. to 6 : 30 P.M. Monday
through and including Friday. "
Section 3: That the appropriate officers and employees
of the Village are hereby authorized and directed to post such
signs in conformance with the provisions of Section 2 of this
Ordinance to implement the provisions of this Ordinance,.
Section 4 : That this Ordinance shall be in Full
force . and effect from and after i_ts. passage , approval , publication
in pL1mpl:Ie.t form and the posting of appropriato signs as directed
in Section 3 hereof.

Section 5 : That all Ordinances or parts thereof
in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance be and the same
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict .
Section 6 : The Village Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form as re-
quired by law.
