G-211 - 02/08/1977 - ZONING-SPECIAL USE - Ordinances ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT AND CERTAIN VARIATIONS TO THE PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE NORTHEAST QUADRANT TO THE INTERSECTION OF KENSINGTON ROAD AND KENSINGTON COURT, OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the owner of the below described property has petitioned the Presi- dent and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties for a use subject to a Special Use Permit and certain variations for said property; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Oak Brook has held a public hearing, pursuant to statutory notice, on the proposed use and variations and has submitted its recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees; and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Oak Brook has submitted its report on the subject petition to the President and Board of Trustees; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees deem the passage of this Ordi- nance to be in the best interest and in furtherance of the general welfare of the Village of Oak Brook. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois, that: SECTION 1: The provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby restated herein as though herein fully set forth. SECTION 2: A Special Use Permit for a post office operated by the United States govern- ment, pursuant to Section X, B. 2. b. of Ordinance No. G-60, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, is hereby granted for the property described in Section 4 hereof. SECTION 3: Variations from Sections V, G. 3. b. and XI, E. 7. of Ordinance No. G-60 as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, are hereby granted to permit the construction of twenty-five (25) parking spaces on the property described in Section 4 hereof, in accordance with the U.S. Postal Service Central Region Site Plan dated January 21, 1977, and identified as Drawing CA-6795-A, solely as it relates to said parking area. SECTION 4: The property to which the above Special Use Permit and Variations are granted is legally described as follows: Lot 1 in Corporate Plaza Lot 8 Resubdivision being a resubdivision of Lot 8 in Corporate Plaza Sub- division Unit Two, of parts of Lots 1 and 2 in Oak Brook Investment Company Assessment Plat No. 3, of part of Section 26, Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Du Page County, Illinois. and is commonly known as the northeast quadrant.of the intersection of Kensington Road and Kensington Court, Oak Brook, Illinois. SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as by Statute in such case made and provided. This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form. - F SECTION 6: All ordinances, rules, and regulations of the Village of Oak Brook which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict and only as they apply to the territory hereinbefore described. SECTION 7: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such determination shall not affect the validity of any remaining portion of this Ordinance.
