AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 5-1 (c) OF
SAID CODE BY ADDING SUBSECTION (10) THERETO
WHEREAS, the Governor and State Fire Marshal of the State of
Illinois have revised the Rules and Regulations Relating to the Storage,
Transportation, Sale and Use of Gasoline and Volatile Oils effective May 1,
1977; and
WHEREAS, such revised rules permit dispensing of Class I
liquids into the fuel tanks of motor vehicles by persons other than the service
station attendant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois,
that:
SECTION 1: The provisions of the preamble hereinbefore set forth are hereby
restated herein as though herein fully set forth.
SECTION 2: That Section 5-1.(c) of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of
Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois, be amended by addition of the
following subsection (10) thereto:
(10) Chapter 129, Section 129. 1 - 4. 1 is amended
to read as follows:
The installation and use of unattended
coin operated or self service dis-
pensing devices for Class I liquids is
permitted only pursuant to a permit
issued by the State Fire Marshal and
in conformance with the terms of
such permit.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval as by Statute in such case made and provided. This
Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet forma
SECTION 4: All ordinances, rules, and regulations of the Village of Oak Brook
which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed
to the extent of the conflict.
SECTION 5: If any section, subsection,- sentence, clause, or phrase of this
Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such determination shall not affect
the validity of any remaining portion of this Ordinance.
