G- 254 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12-86 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK ILLINOIS RELATIVE TO BOND AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR WORK WITHIN STREET RIGHTS-OF-WAY WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Illinois have heretofore adopted Sec- tion 12-86 of the Code of Ordinances of said Village, which Section sets forth certain bond and insurance requirements for work within street rights-of-way; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the said Village deem a revision of such bond and insurance re- quirements to be in the best interest and in pursuance of the general welfare of the Village; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows : Section 1 : That Section 12-86 (B) (3) of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook, Illinois be and is hereby amended to read as follows : (3) Bond required. Each applicant for a permit required by this article for work within ' street rights- of-way shall file a cash bond in the amount of one thou- sand dollars ($1,000. 00) conditioned to indemnify the Vil- lage for any loss or damage resulting from the work under- taken or the manner of doing the same Section 2 : That Section 12-86 (C) (2) (d) of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook, Illinois be and is hereby amended to read as follows : (d) Extended Liability and Umbrella Coverage. The contractor shall purchase, at his expense, during the life of the contract extended liability and umbrella coverage insurance with a limit of liability based upon the following: Amount of Extended Liability Insurance Estimated Project Cost and Umbrella Coverage $ 1. 00 to 5 ,000 .00 $ 0 5 ,001 . 00 to 10 ,000 . 00 1,000,000 . 00 X0 ,001.00 & Greater. 2,000, 000 . 00 Section. 3: All ordinances , rules , and regulations of the Village of ak Brook which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ord%nah" -4-re_ hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict . Section 4: If any section, sub-section, entence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reas eld to be invalid, such determination shall not affect the -va- 1'idity of -any remaining portion of this Ordinance . �� .a Ordinance No. G-254 Amending Section 12- 8E Page two Section 5 : This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and pub- lication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
