ORDINANCE NO. G- 262
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE G- 177, THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR
THE DESIGNATION OF ADDITIONAL FIRE LANES
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook have heretofore enacted Ordinance G- 177
being an Ordinance regulating traffic within the Village of Oak
Brook, which Ordinance has from time to time been amended; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook deem it advisable and in the best interests
and in furtherance of the general welfare and safety of the citi-
zens of the Village that said Ordinance G- 177 be further amended
to designate additional fire lanes ; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Vehicle Code , Chapter 952 of the -
Illinois Revised Statutes , specifically authorizes local authori-
ties to regulate and restrict parking in the interest of the pub-
lic welfare and safety;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows :
Section 1 : That the provisions of the preamble here
inabove set ort are hereby incorporated herein as though fully
set forth herein.
Section 2 : That in accordance with the provisions of
Section 1- 1302 of Ordinance G-177, Schedule XV thereof, entitled
"Designated Fire Lane" , is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following additional designated fire lanes :
BUSINESS ADDRESS AREA OF FIRE LANE
U. A. Cinema 1 & 2 1. The access road which con-

with the exit ramp from
the I- S Tollroad.
2. The drive which circles the
U. A. Cinema structure on the
north , south, east , and west.
Section 3: That the appropriate officers and employees '
of the Village are hereby authorized and directed to post such signs
in conformance with the provisions of Section 2 of this Ordinance
to implement the provisions of this Ordinance .
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect"-from and after its passage , approval , publication in
pamphlet form and the posting of appropriate signs as directed in
Section 3 hereof.
Section S: That all Ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict wit die provisions of this Ordinance be and the same are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict .

Section 6: The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to pu lis this Ordinance in pamphlet form as required by
law.
