.AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2- 25 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE VILLAGE 01: OAK BROOK AND REVISING COMPENSATION FOR
VILLAGE TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance G- 19, passed and approved December
13 , 1960, the corporate authorities initially established the rate of
compensation for Village Trustees ; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees deem a revision in
the level of such compensation to be appropriate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows :
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set
forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2 : That Section 2-25 of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook entitled "Compensation - Trustees" be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows :
Section 2- 25 Compensation Trustees
All persons elected subsequent to April 6, 1981 and
serving in the office of Village Trustee shall receive
compensation for their services as such trustee the
sum of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25 . 00) per meeting for
each meeting of the Board attended by such person,
provided that any trustee elected prior to April 6,
1981 shall receive as compensation the sum of Fifteen
Dollars ($15. 00) per meeting for each such meeting of
the Board attended by such person. No Trustee shall
receive compensation for more than one (1) meeting each
week. Any Trustee shall be allowed two (2) absences
per year from regular meetings of the Board for which
compensation shall be paid at the aforedescribed rates .
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
