AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-61 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK REGARDING COMPENSATION FOR THE
VILLAGE CLERK
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Ordinance S-61 passed and approved April
9 , 196; the corporate authorities initially established a rate of
compensation for the Village Clerk ; and
I'MEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees deem a revision
in the level of such compensation to be appropriate ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows :
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set
forth are hereby adotped as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2 : That Section 2-61 of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook entitled "Compensation; Absences" regarding the
Village Clerk be and is hereby amended to read as follows :
Section 2-61 Compensation ; Absences :
(a) The Village Clerk shall. receive a salary equal to
Twenty Five Dollars ($25. 00) for each regular Board
meeting or special Board meeting attended provided
that any Village Clerk elected prior to April 7, 1981
shall receive a salary equal to Fifteen Dollars ($15. 00)
for each regular Board meeting or special Board meeting
attended. The Clerk shall recieve compensation for not
more than one (1) meeting during each calendar week.
(b) The Clerk- shall be allowed two (2) absences in each
year for which compensation may be paid at the rate set
forth in this Section.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
Section 4 : That any ordinance of parts thereof in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
