ORDINANCE NO. G- 281
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6- 31 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, AND
INCREASING FEES FOR USE OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE
PROVIDED BY THE OAK BROOK FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook have heretofore passed and approved Ordinance G- 252 , hereinafter
codified as Section 6- 31 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of
Oak Brook ; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance provided for a fee of Sixty Five Dollars
($65 . 00) to be imposed upon any person using the emergency medical ser-
vice provided by the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the said Village
a.. have reviewed such fees and determined that an increase in such fees is
necessary to more properly reimburse the Village for the costs of pro-
viding such service ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
as follows :
Section l : That Section 6- 31 of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak rook (Section 1 of Ordinance G- 252) be and is hereby
amended to read as follows :
"Whereas the Village through its Fire Department
currently provides emergency medical service to
the Village , and the corporate authorities of
the Village deem it appropriate to impose a
user charge for such : service in. order to defray
partially the cost to the Village of providing
such service , a fee is hereby imposed upon any
person using the emergency medical service pro-
`. vided by the Village of Oak Brook in the amount
of One Hundred Thirty Dollars ($130 . 00) for each
such use . "
Section 2 : That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with
the provisions of the Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict .
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage , approval and publication in pamphlet form,
all as provided by law.
Section 4 : That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to publish this—Ordinance in pamphlet form as required by law.
