AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE G- 177 , THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE VILLAGE
OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS, AS AMENDED , AND PROVIDING FOR THE
DESIGNATION OF ADDITIONAL FIRE LANES

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook have heretofore enacted Ordinance G- 177 being an
Ordinance regulating traffic within the Village of Oak Brook, which
Ordinance has from time to time been amended; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook deem it advisable and in the best interests and in further-
ance of the general welfare and safety of the citizens of the Village '
that said Ordinance No. G-177 be further amended to designate addi-
tional fire lanes ; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Vehicle Code, Chapter 952 of the Illinois
Revised Statutes , specifically authorizes local authorities to regu-
late and restrict parking in the interest of the public 'welfare and
safety;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows :
Section l : That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove
set forth are hereby incorporated herein as though fully set forth
herein.
Section 2 : That in accordance with the provisons of Section
1- 1302 of Ordinance G- 177, Schedule XV thereof, entitled "Designated
Fire Lanes" , is hereby amended by adding thereto the following addi-
tional designated. fire lanes :
BUSINESS ADDRESS AREA OF FIRE LANE
Butterfield Office Plaza The main drive into the parking
2625 Butterfield Road lot from 22nd Street and the
main drive on the North side of
the building . The areas so
designated at the five entrances
to the building. The Southeast
corner of the building at the
loading dock. The Southwest
corner of the building. The
parking spaces adjacent to the
drive from the parking lot to
Camden Court .
Section 3 : That the appropriate officers and employees of the
Village are hereby authorized and directed to post such signs in con-
formance with the provisions of Section 2 of this Ordinance to `im-
plement the provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 4 : That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage , approval , publication in pamphlet form and
the posting of appropriate signs as directed in Section 3 hereof.

Section 5 : That all Ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
with the provisions of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 6 : The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form as required by law,
