G-269 - 08/12/1980 - PERSONNEL RULES & REGS - Ordinances ORDINANCE NO. G- 269 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK AND REVISING THE MANDATORY RETIREMENT AGE FOR EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook have heretofore adopted Personnel Rules and Regulations ; and WHEREAS , said Personnel Rules and Regulations have been amended from time to time ; and WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that said Personnel Rules and Regulations as. previously amended be further amended as hereinafter provided; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows : Section 1 : That Section 3 of Article XII of the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows : Age of Retirement The mandatory retirement age for firemen and policemen shall be 65 years of age. For all other employees the mandatory retirement age shall be 70 years of age . Employees shall be given written notice not less than 12 months prior to their mandatory retirement date , at which time the employee ' s retirement plan and benefits will be discussed. ,Section 2 : That except as amended hereby, the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the Village of Oak Brook shall remain in full force and effect and are hereby ratified and confirmed. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage , approval and publication as required by law. Section 4 : That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form. Passed this 12th day of August 1980 .
