AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGULATIONS OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOD, ORDINANCE G- 177 , AS AMENDED
{WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees oii
January 20 , 1981 passed and approved Ordinance G- 276 entitled
"An Ordinance Approving and Authorizing Execution of a Contract
Entitled "Agreement Regarding Parking , Traffic and Other Police
Regulations in the Oakbrook Shopping Center" ; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement by its terms replaces -and super
cedes Article V and Schedule XII of the Traffic Regulations of the
Village of Oak Brook;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUPTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows :
Section 1 :. That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove
set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2 : That Section 5- 101 of the Traffic Regulations
of the Village of Oak Brook, Ordinance G- 177, as amended, be and is
a
hereby amended to read as follows :
"5-101 - Regulations Imposed:
The provisions of this ordinance shall be
applicable to that property generally known
as the" Oakbrook Shopping Center as more
specifically described in the Agreement
authorizing enforcement of such regulations
dated January 9 , 1981 as approved by the
President and Board of Trustees of the
Village on January 20 ,. 1981 and as recorded
in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of
DuPage County, Illinois on January 23, 1981
as Document No. R81- 04407 . "
Section 3: That the Traffic Regulations of the Village
of Oak Brook, Ordinance G- 177, as amended, be and is hereby amended by
adding thereto Section 1-1301 . 1 entitled "Handicapped Parking Areas'' ,
which Section shall read as follows :
"1- 1301 . 1 - Handicapped Parking Areas
No person shall use any area for the parking of
any motor vehicle where an official sign con-
trolling such area specifically prohibits
parking at any time or during certain hours
and reserves such areas as parking for handi-
capped persons only. It shall be prohibited
to park any motor vehicle in such areas ,
except those vehicles :
a) bearing registration plates issued
to a physically handicapped person
pursuant to the provisions of the
Illinois Vehicle Code, Chapter 95z
of the Illinois Revised Statutes ; or
b) bearing registration plates issued
to a disabled veteran pursuant to the
Illinois Vehicle Code, Chapter 95'2
of the Illinois Revised Statutes; or

c) otherwise bearing such device
as approved by the Village of the type
as referred to in Section 11- 1301 . 2 of
said Illinois Vehicle Code that the
vehicle is operated by or for a .handi-
capped person or disabled veteran.
Section 4 : That Schedule XII of the Traffic Regulations ,
Ordinance G- 177, as amended, is hereby repealed
Section 5 : That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form in the
manner provided by law.
Section 6 : That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from an after its passage, approval and publication in pam-
phlet form as required by law.
