DESIGNATION OF ADDITIONAL- FIRE LANES
WHEREAS , the President and Board of 'trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook have heretofore enacted Ordinance G- 177 being an Ordinance
regulating traffic within the Village of Oak Brook, which Ordinance has
from time to time been amended ; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook deem it advisable and in the best interests and in furtherance
of the general welfare and safety of the citizens of the Village that
said Ordinance G- 177 be further amended to designate, additional fire
lanes ; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Vehicle Code , Chapter Mh of the Illinois Re
wised Statutes , specifically authorizes local authorities to regulate
and restrict parking in the interest of the public welfare and safety ;
NORM, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF

TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK, BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
as follows :
Section 1 : That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set
forth are hereby incorporated herein as though fully set forth herein .

Section 2 : That in accordance with the provisions of Section l- IS02
of. Ordinance G- 177 , Schedule XV thereof , entitled "Designated Fire Lanes",
is hereby amended by adding thereto the following additional designated
fire lanes as detailed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto :
BUSK SS ADDRESS AREA_OI__FIRE LANE
a) Deltic Incorporated 1) The South entrance and exit drive
1220 Kensington Road from Kensington Road to the park-
ing area .
b) International Harvester l ) The East entrance and exit drive
I SOO Kensington Road from Jorie Boulevard tc. the
parking area .
Section 3 That the appropriate officers and employees of the
Village of Oak Brook are hereby authorized and directed to post such signs
in conformance with the provisions of Section 2 of this Ordinance to
implement the provisions of this Ordinance .
Section 4 : That this Ordinance shall he in full force and effect
fromnd after its passage , approval. , publication in pamphlet form and
the posting of appropriate signs as directed in ' Section .i hereof .
Section 5 : That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with
the prop i_sions of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby revealed
to . the extent of such conflict .
Section 6 : That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form as required by law.
