AN ORDINANCE_ AMENDING SECTION V OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ORDINANCE G-60 ,
!_ AS AMENDED, RELATIVE TO WATER WELLS
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have heretofore
passed and approved Ordinance G- 293 , codified as Sections 12-407
through 12-410 , inclusive , of the Code of Ordinances of the said
Village ; and -
WHEREAS, said Ordinance purports to regulate the drilling of
water wells and provides standards therefore within the said Village ;
and
WHEREAS, the provisions of said Ordinance in part conflict with
prior provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, necessitating amendment
thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Village has filed an application for an amendment
to certain provisions of Section V of said Zoning Ordinance ; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing thereon has been conducted on August 4 ,
1981 by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Oak Brook pursuant
to due and appropriate legal notice ; and
WHEREAS, a recommendation has been made by the said Zoning Board
of Appeals that the proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance be
made; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of said Village has also recommended
approval of the proposed amendment ; and the President and Board of
Trustees concur with the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals
and deem the passage of this Ordinance to be in the best interest and
in furtherance of the general welfare of the Village of Oak Brook;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows :
Section 1 : That Section V (I) (5) of the Zoning Ordinance be
and is hereby amended to read as follows :
"In areas where water facilities are available ,
private wells may be used for outdoor purposes
such as lawn sprinkling and filling of swimming
pools subject to Village approval, as provided for by Ordinance .
Section 2 : That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage , approval and publication as provided by
law.
Section 3 : That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner
provided by law.

Section 4 : That all ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent
of such conflict .
