AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G-177 , THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR THE
DESIGNATION OF ADDITIONAL FIRE LANES
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook have heretofore enacted Ordinance G-177 being an Ordinance
regulating traffic within the Village of Oak Brook , which Ordinance has
from time to time been amended; and
WHEREAS , the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook deem it advisable and in the best interests and in furtherance
of the general welfare and safety of the citizens of the Village that
said Ordinance G-177 be further amended to designate additional fire
lanes ; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Vehicle Code , Chapter 952 of the Illinois Re-
vised Statutes , specifically authorizes local authorities to regulate
and restrict parking in the interest of the public welfare and safety;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows :
Section 1 : That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set
forth are here-5y incorporated herein as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2 : That in accordance with the provisions of Section
1-1302 of Ordinance G-177 , Schedule XV thereof, entitled "Designated
Fire Lanes" , is hereby amended by adding thereto the following addition-
al designated fire lanes as further detailed in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto:
BUSINESS ADDRESS AREA OF FIRE LANES
a) Drake Oak. Brook Plaza ( i) Main Entrance
2211/2215 South York Road Circle Drive
( ii) Main driveway adjacent
to the West parking lot
b) Drake Oak Brook Hotel ( i) Approach and exit drives
2301 South York Road of the main entrance to
the hotel
( ii) Hotel service/delivery
drive from York Road to
the main drive .
(iii) West side , North side , and
East side of the motor unit
structure .
Section 3 : That the appropriate officers and employees of the
Village of Oak Brook are hereby authorized and directed to post such
signs in conformance with the provisions of Section 2 of this Ordinance
to implement the provisions of this Ordinance .
Section 4 : That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after passage , _approval , publication in pamphlet form and
the posting of appropriate signs as directed in Section 3 hereof.
Section 5 : That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with
the provisions of this Ordinance , including existing references in
said Schedule XV to "Drake Oak Brook Hotel" , be and the same are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict .

Section 6 : That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form as required by law.
