G-331 - 12/14/1982 - SPORTS CORE - Ordinances ORDINANCE G- 331 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 14 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK RELATIVE TO VILLAGE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees have heretofore adopted rules and regulations for the Sports Core, Oak Brook Golf Club, and Bath and Tennis Club, codified as Article II of Chapter 14 of the Code of Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook; and C WHEREAS., the Village President and Board of Trustees deem the Amendment of said rules and regulations to be in the best interest and in furtherance of the general welfare of the citizens of the Village of Oak Brook; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1: The provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein. Section 2: That Section 14-12 (c) of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows: (c)Green fees; nonmembers: Resident Nonresident Weekdays 18 holes $ 7.00 $ 12.00 9 holes 4.50 7.00 l Twilight,4:00 p.m. 4.50 7.00 Weekends 18 holes 9.00 15.00 9 holes 5.50 8.00 Twilight, 4:00 p.m. 5.00 7.50 Any resident qualifying as a junior or senior shall be eligible for a ten (10) per cent discount on any greens fee rate except on Wednesdays; or weekends or holidays before noon. Section 3: That Section 14-12 (e) (5) of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook be. and is hereby amended to read as follows: (5)Nonpermanent tee times. On weekends and holidays forfeited, cancelled and undrawn permanent times, and all other weekend and holiday times will be i Page 2 available for reservation not more than seven (7) days in advance. Weekday times will be available for reservation not more than seven (7) days in advance. Other times will be available on a first-cane, first- serve basis. Section 4: That Section 14-12 (g) of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows: (g)Golf cart rental fees: 18 Holes 9 Holes Power carts $ 15.00 $ 8.00 Hand carts 1.00 0.75 CWhen the golf club leases additional carts on a short term basis, the per diem cost in excess of the above rate shall be charged to the person or persons for whom such carts were leased. Page 3 "Note: Any family or individual season member providing written proof of the recruitment of a new family or individual season member, but not including any such recruited member who was a member in 1982, shall be entitled to a twenty (20) per cent discount on the membership fee schedule otherwise applicable for each such recruitment. Section 6: That Section 14-13 (c) (4) of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows: (4)Bath and Tennis guests: Will be individuals registered by a family or individual season member to utilize the tennis courts and swimming pools and shall be limited to ten (10) visits per season. Guests may not charge vouchers and must be accompanied by the members at all times. Notwithstanding the above, family and individual season members may, without additional charge, invite no more than two (2) .guests on the first and third Tuesday of each month of operation of the bath and tennis club. Section 7: That Section 14-13 (e) (1) of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows: (1)The clubhouse will be open to members beginning the Saturday immediately before the federally observed Memorial Day, and continuing through the Monday observed as Labor Day. Operating hours will be: Clubhouse: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday, Sunday. . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday. . . . . :. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 10.00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Luncheon service: Sunday through Friday. . . . . . . . . . . 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 .p.m. Dinner service: Friday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Beverage Service: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. Page 4 Beverage service to courts, pool and barbecue, until.. . . . . . . . . . . . . 5:00 p.m. daily Section 8: That Section 14-13 (h) (1) of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook is hereby amended to read as follows: (1) The clubhouse will be available for private parties or events any day prior to the Friday immediately preceeding the federally observed Memorial Day, or after the Monday observed as Labor Day, and between those dates on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday evenings after 6:00 p.m. Section 9: That all Ordinances or parts that are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 10: That the provisions of this Ordinance are deemed severable and the validity or invalidity of any portion thereof shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof. Section 11: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law. Section 12: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet fonn, as required by law. Passsed this 14 ^ day of 1b'������, 1982.
