Brechin - Village Attorney SUBJECT: Proposed Ordinance Amending Code of Ordinance Liquor License Provisions RECOMMENDATION: That the Village Board pass the attached Ordinance in the form presented. At the last Village Board meeting the Village Board concurred in the suggestion that the provisions for Class D licenses be amended to allow for a refund where those licenses are issued for multiple date special events. In reviewing our Ordinance on the subject it was discovered that the dram shop insurance levels set forth therein were inadequate by virtue of statutory amendments and would increase the minimum required insurance levels for dram shop operations. Thus, the attached Ordinance increases the dram shop insurance requirements to those consistent with the statute and also accomplishes the changes suggested regarding the Class D liquor license refund procedure.
