G-339 - 11/22/1983 - ZONING - Ordinances ORDINANCE NO. G- 334 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS V(G)(3)(e) and V(E)(2) OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ORDINANCE G-60, AS AMENDED RELATING TO ACCESSORY STRUCTURES AND THROUGH LOTS WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has heretofore filed an application for text amendments to the Zoning Ordinance relating to through lots and accessory structures; and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has submitted its report on the proposed amendments to the Zoning Board of Appeals and to the President and Board of Trustees, and WHEREAS, a public hearing on such application has been conducted by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Oak Brook pursuant to due and appropriate legal notice; and WHEREAS, a recommendation has been made by the said Zoning Board of Appeals that the requested amendments be made; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees deem the passage of this Ordinance to be in the best interest and in furtherance of the general welfare of the Village of Oak Brook. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1 : That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein. Section 2: That Section V(E)(2) of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, 5MIM ce G-60, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows: "On vacant through lots, the front lot line shall be along the street line designated by the Building Inspector, except that when a front lot line has been established on one or more lots in the same block and all have front lot lines established along the same street line, the street line designated as the front lot line for such lot or lots shall be the front lot line on all vacant through lots in such block. On through lots, only those obstructions permitted by this Ordinance in front yards shall be located in that part of a rear yard adjoining a street that is equivalent in depth to a required front yard." Section 3: That Section V(G)(3)(e) of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, Ordinance G-60, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows: "No detached or attached accessory structure hereafter erected or altered shall project nearer to a front or side lot line adjoining a street than the distance equivalent to the shortest distance between such lot line and the nearest wall of the principal structure, except an attached private garage may project nearer to a lot line adjoining a street." Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as required by law. Section 5: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this r finance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law. ORDINANCE NO.
