AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE
OF OAK BROOK TO REGULATE PARKING ALONG GLENDALE AVENUE
WHEREAS, vehicular parking along the North side of Glendale Avenue
between Madison and Washington tends to create congestion and pose a hazard to
the free flow of traffic on Glendale Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities deem the following regulation of
that part of Glendale which is within the Vilage of Oak Brook's jurisdiction to
be in the best interest of the Village of Oak Brook;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: All parking shall be prohibited on the North side of
Glendale Avenue between Washington Street on the East and the West end of the lot
known as 407 Glendale (Village of Oak Brook corporate limits) on the West.
Section 2: That the Superintendent of Public Works is authorized and
directed to post signs stating the parking prohibition set forth in Section 1.
Section : This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10)
days from and after it passage, approval and publication, in pamphlet form, as
provided by law.
