AN ORD NANCE AMENDING SECTION 1-416 OF
THE TRAFFIC REGULATIONS OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK 1LLIN 1S
TO ESTABLISH FEES FOR ACCIDENT REPORTS
WHEREAS, the Illinois General Assembly has passed Public Act 84-1044
which is effective July 1, 1986 and which authorizes local law enforcement
agencies to establish certain fees for furnishing copies of traffic accident
reports prepared by such agencies; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook that
fees for copies of accident reports be established pursuant to Public Act 84-
1044;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section l: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth
are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Section 1-416 of the Village of Oak Brook Traffic
Regulations, Appendix C to the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook be
and is hereby amended to read as follows:
1-416 Furnishing Copies; Fees. The Village of Oak Brook
may furnish copies of an Oak Brook Police Traffic
Accident report that has been investigated by the Oak
Brook Police Department and shall b.e paid a fee of $5.00 for
each such copy.
Section : That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
Section 4: All ordinances, rules and regulations of the Village of Oak
Brook which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section : if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of
this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such determination shall not
affect the validity of any remaining portion of this Ordinance.
