AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE G-377,
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE
OF OAK BROOK TO REGULATE PARKING ALONG GLENDALE AVENUE
WHEREAS, on February 25, 1986, this Board passed Ordinance No. G-377
which prohibits parking on the North side of Glendale Avenue between Washington
Street on the East and the West end of the lot known as 407 Glendale (Village of
Oak Brook corporate limits) on the West; and
WHEREAS, on July 15, 1986 the Board of Trustees for the Village of
Hinsdale passed Ordinance No. 086-26 which prohibits parking on the South side of
Glendale Avenue from Washington Street to Madison Street; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village of Oak Brook,
motorist, lasing Glendale Avenue and residents in the affected area, that parking,
now be unrestricted on the North side of Glendale Avenue in the affected area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth
are hereby incorporated orporated herein as though fully set forth.
Section 2: That Ordinance No. G-377 entitled "An Ordinance Amending
The Traffic Hance Of The Village Of Oak Brook To Regulate Parking Along
Glendale Avenue" passed and approved on February 25, 1986 is hereby repealed.
Section 3: That the Superintendent of Public Works is authorized and
directed to remove signs which were authorized by Ordinance No. G-377.
Section 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10)
days from an a er its passage, approval and publication, in pamphlet form, as
provided by law.
