AN ORDINANCE RENAMING A PREVIOUSLY NAMED STREET
WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK,
DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, there is locate) within the corporate limits of the Village of
Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, a certain street or public way
heretofore sometimes known and designated as Wood Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Wood Avenue is generally referred to as Wood Road by members
of the community; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook deem the
passage of this Ordinance to be in the best interest of the Village of Oak Brook,
Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth
are hereby incorporated herein as though herein fully set forth.
Section 2: That the name of the street or public way heretofore known
and designated as Wo od Avenue located within the corporate limits of the Village
of Oak Brook be and the sane is hereby changed and shall from now on be known
and designated as Wood Road.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
amend the o7i"Fi=maps of the Village of Oak Brook to comply with the provisions
of this Ordinance and to cause the recordation of a certified copy of this
Ordinance in the office of the Du Page County Recorder of Deeds.
Section 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval as provided by law.
