AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 14 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK RELATIVE
TO VILLAGE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees have heretofore
adopted rules and regulations for the Sports Core, Oak Brook Golf Club, and Bath
and Tennis Club, codified as Article II of Chapter 14 of the Code of Ordinances
of the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees deem further
amendment of said rules and regulations to be in the best interest and in
furtherance of tl:e general welfare of the citizens of the Village of Oak Brook;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth
are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Section 14-12(c) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 4: That Section 14-12(g) of the Code of Ordinance of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 5: That Section 14-13(b) of the Code of Ordinance of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
(b) Season membership and fee schedule*:

Note: Any individual who has either a family or individual
membership at the bath and tennis club will qualify for a twenty (20)
percent discount applied to their golf season membership.
Section 6: That Subsections 1 and 2 of Section 14-13(c) of the Code of
Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook be and are hereby amended to read as
follows:
(c)(1 ) Family season member: will include husband and/or wife and all
childred under the age of twenty-one (21 ) permanently residing in the
household of the principal member or members. Membership will entitle
the participant to utilize all the facilities at no additional charge
throughout the season_.
(2) Individual season member: Will be an individual at least
t:renty-one (21 ) years of age. Membership will entitle the participant
to utilize all the facilities at no additional charge, except for food,
beverage, and special charges for private service throughtout the
season.
Section 7: That Section 14-13(c) of the Code or Ordinance of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended by adding thereto a new subsection
(5) which shall read as follows:
(c)(5) Junior season member: A son or daughter of a family or
individual season member permanently residing in the household of said
member or members under the age of twenty-five (25) and over the age of
twenty-one (21 ) .
Section 8: That Section 14-13(c)(4) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
(c)(4) Bath and tennis guests: Will be individuals registered by a
family or individual season member to utilize the tennis courts and
swimming pools and shall be limited to twelve (12) free visits per
season. Guests may not charge vouchers and must be accompanied by the
member at all times. Individuals may be guests of any season member
only once per calendar month.
Section 9: That Section 14-13(d) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended by adding a new subsection (6) to
read as follows:
(b) Guest cards will be issued for twelve (12) free visits.

Section 10: That Section 14-13(d)(34) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
(4) Payment for season goods and services at the bath and tennis club,
with the exception of the barbecue, shall be by way of charging,
utilizing season membership cards.
Prepaid coupons, in twelve dollar books, plus applicable sales tax, can
be charged at the clubhouse by utilizing a season membership card.
Section 11 : That Section 14-13(e) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
(e) Operation of clubhouse:
�> (1 ) The clubhouse will be open to members beginning the Saturday
immediately before the federally observed Memorial Day, and continuing
through the Monday observed as Labor Day.

Section 12: That subsections 2, 3 and 4 of Section 14-13(e) of the
Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to
include a new Item (4) to read as follows:
(2) Prices for food services shall be as approved by village manager
or his authorized agent.
(3) Children under the age of fourteen (14) must be accompanied by an
adult, to dine in the clubhouse.
(4) Members or guests may not bring food or beverages to the club for
consumption on the premises, except as approved by the sports core
manager of his authorized designee in conjunction with club activities.

Section 13: That Section 14-13(f)(4) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 14: That Section 14-13(f)(5)(j) of the Code of Ordinances of
the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
(j) Children under the age of twelve (12) must be accompanied by an
adult at all times, except for organized swim team activities.
Section 15: That Section 14-13(f)(5) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended by adding thereto subsection (m)
which subsection shall read as follows:
(m) No tanning aids or lotions are allowed in the water.
Section 16: That Section 14-13(3)j of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended by deleting the following language:
j. Children, under the age of twelve (12) and unaccompanied by an
adult, are not to be around the pro shop area or the tennis courts
unless they are participating in a game. Children may congregate in
the B.B.Q. area.
Section 17: That Section 14-12(f) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
(f) Golf Leagues. A golf league is any group of golfers of
significant size for which a standard black of starling times is
reserved on a consistent basis, normally weekly. There will be at most
two (2) golf league categories, twilight golf leagues and morning golf
leagues.
Twilight golf leagues will be assigned to Oak Brook businesses or Oak
Brook organizations on a first-come, first-serge basis.
Morning leagues will be assigned annually first to those leagues who
had times the previous year and then to all other groups on a fi=st-
come, first-service basis.
The golf league schedule times listed below may be extended for an Oak
Brook organization or business golf league, provided the golf manager,
with the concurrence of the sports core manager, determines that such
an extension is into a time period with a low level of play where daily
fee use would not be significantly affected.
Golf league participants shall pay the applicable resident greens fee
rate.
Golf league tee times will be scheduled only bet:reer. t :e following

Section 18: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
Section 19: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form, as required by
law.
