AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XIV OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
RELATING TO VILLAGE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees have heretofore
adopted rules and regulations for the Sports Core, Oak Brook Golf Club, and
Bath and Tennis Club, codified as Article XIV of Chapter 14 of the Code of
Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees deem further
amendment of said rules and regulations to be in the best interest and in
furtherance of the general welfare of the citizens of the Village of Oak
Brook;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are
hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Section 14-12(b) (3) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(3) Identification cards. A resident of Oak Brook who does not hold a
current golf club season membership card or a current bath and
tennis club membership card must obtain an annual resident
identification card to qualify for resident green fee rates. Junior
or senior residents must obtain an annual junior or senior
identification card to qualify for discount rates as applicable.
Such cards shall be issued upon application, verification of
residency, and/or age and the payment of a service charge of $7.50
per card.
Section 3: That Section 14-12(c) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(c) Green fees; nonmembers:

Section 4: That Section 14-12(d) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(d) Season membership fee schedule*:

*Note: Any individual who has either a family or individual membership
at the bath and tennis club will qualify for a 20% discount applied to
their golf season membership.
Section 5: That Section 14-12(e) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(e) Permanent reserved weekend starting times:
(1) Tee times will be available for 18 holes on Saturdays and Sundays
for the period from approximately the last Saturday in April through
the first weekend in .September at such times as designated by the
Sports Core Manager provided that there shall be no permanent
reserved starting times on Oak Brook Day and days on which the
course is closed due to weather or the Western Open or similar
professional golf tournament.
(2) The permanent reserved weekend starting time draw will be held
annually in the spring after the brochure is mailed. There will be
a $100 deposit required for each foursome. Application for this
drawing must be made in writing on forms provided by the Village.
The order of drawing will be as follows:
a. Unlimited resident season members as further described herein;
b. Unlimited corporate resident employee season members;
C. Unlimited nonresident season members;
d. Weekday resident season members;
e. Weekday nonresident season members;
f. Residents;
g. Nonresidents.
Drawing priority will be given to those foursomes with the most
unlimited resident season members in the foursomes.

Section 6: That Section 14-12(g) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(g) Golf cart rental fees:

Section 7: That Section 14-12(h) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended by adding thereto additional
subparagraph 17 which shall read as follows:
"(17) Only daily fee players and season members may utilize the practice
greens.
Section 8: That Section 14-13(b) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b) Season membership and fee schedule*:

Note: Any individual who has either a family or individual membership at
the bath and tennis club will qualify for a 20% discount applied to their
golf season membership.
Memberships paid prior to February 1, 1990, shall be entitled to a 10%

presenting evidence of sponsorship of a another season member shall be
entitled to a $50 Sports Core gift certificate.
Section 9: That Section 14-13(c)(5) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(5) Bath and Tennis guests. Will be individuals registered, by a family
or individual season member to utilize the tennis courts and swimming
pools and shall be limited to four (4) visits per season. Guests
may not charge vouchers and must be accompanied by the member at all
times. Fees for such guests shall be $5 per guest per visit.
Section 10: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
Section 11: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by
law.
