AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
AND PROVIDING FOR A DAY CARE CENTER AS
AN ADDITIONAL AUTHORIZED SPECIAL USE
IN ALL BUSINESS AND OFFICE DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, an application has been filed requesting a text amendment to
create a Day Care Center as an authorized special use special use in the
ORA-2, ORA-3, 0-3, B-1, B-2, B-3 and B-4 Districts within the Village of Oak
Brook; and
WHEREAS, on July 10, 1990, the corporate authorities passed Ordinance
G-448 which created a special use in the ORA-1 Office Research Assembly
District; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals on September 4, 1990, and the Plan
Commission at its meeting on August 20, recommended approval of the requested
text amendment which adds a child day care center as a special use category
in all remaining Business and Office Districts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth
are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Sections VIII(C) (2) (g) , VIII(D) (2) (e) , VIII(E) (2) (c) ,
VIII(F) (2) (f) , X(C) (2) (c) , X(D) (3) (d) and X(E) (2) (d) of the Zoning Ordinance
of the Village of Oak Brook be and are hereby amended by adding thereto as an
additional authorized special use "Day Care Center, provided such facility
complies with all licensing requirements of the State of Illinois and
maintains a direct alarm hook-up to the Oak Brook Police Department".
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage and approval as provided by law.
