AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN
AMENDED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
FOR THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, paragraph 11-12-7 of the Illinois Municipal Code (Chapter 24 of
the Illinois Revised Statutes) authorizes a municipality to adopt and amend a
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinances S-188, S-296 and S-406, the corporate
authorities of the Village of Oak Brook have adopted a Comprehensive Plan and
amendments thereto; and
WHEREAS, the Village' s Plan Commission and corporate authorities have
considered further amendments to the existing Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission conducted a. public hearing on all proposed
amendments to the Comprehensive Plan on November 21, 1988 pursuant to due and
appropriate legal notice; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook have
conducted a public hearing pursuant to due and appropriate legal notice on
December 11, 1990; and
WHEREAS, all statutory prerequisites to the consideration of this
ordinance have been duly accomplished in the manner required by law;
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth
are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein;
Section 2: That the amended Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Oak
Brook, Illinois, dated June, 1990, be and is hereby adopted. A copy of said
document is attached hereto, labelled Exhibit A, and hereby made a part
hereof.
Section 3: That Section 10-1 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village
of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 10-1. Comprehensive Plan adopted.
There is hereby adopted the Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Oak
Brook dated June, 1990, together with Plates 1 through 10 incorporated
therein.
Section 4: The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file
notice of the adoption of this amended Comprehensive Plan with the Recorder

of Deeds of DuPage and Cook Counties as required by law.
Section 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the expiration of ten days after the filing of a Notice of Adoption of
the amended Comprehensive Plan with the Recorder of Deeds of DuPage and Cook
Counties.
