AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XIV OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
RELATING TO VILLAGE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees have heretofore
adopted rules and regulations for the Sports Core, Oak Brook Golf Club, and
Bath and Tennis Club, codified as Article XIV of Chapter 14 of the Code of
Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees deem further
amendment of said rules and regulations to be in the best interest and in
furtherance of the general welfare of the citizens of the Village of Oak
Brook;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are
hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Section 14-12(a) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended by deleting therefrom Subsection
2.
Section 3: That Section 14-12(b) (7) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The Oak Brook Golf Club and Driving Range will be open between
April 1 and November 1, weather permitting. The course and driving
range shall not be open during the period of any multiple day golf
tournament authorized to be played on the premises."
Section 4: That Section 14-12(c) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 5: That Section 14-12(d) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(d) Season membership fee schedule*:

*Note: Any individual who has either a family or individual membership
at the bath and tennis club will qualify for a 20% discount applied to
their golf season membership.
Section 6: That Section 14-12(e) (1) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(e) Permanent reserved weekend starting times:
(1) Tee times will be available for 18 holes on Saturdays and Sundays
for the period from approximately the last Saturday in April through
the first weekend in September at such times as designated by the
Sports Core Manager provided that there shall be no permanent
reserved starting times on Oak Brook Day and any multiple day golf
tournament authorized to be played on the premises.
Section 7: That Section 14-12(f) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(f) Golf leagues.
A golf league is any group of golfers of significant size for which a
standard block of starting times is reserved on a consistent basis,
normally weekly. There will be at most two golf league categories,
twilight golf leagues and morning golf leagues.
Twilight golf leagues will be assigned to Oak Brook businesses or Oak
Brook organizations on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Morning leagues will be assigned annually: First to those leagues who
had times the previous year and then to all other groups on a first-come
first-serve basis.

The golf league schedule times listed below may be extended for an Oak
Brook organization or business golf league, provided the golf manager,
with the concurrence of the sports core manager, determines that such an
extension is into a time period with a low level of play where daily
fees use would not be significantly affected.
Golf league participants shall pay the applicable green fee rate.
Golf league tee times will be scheduled only between the following
times:

Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 9: That Section 14-12 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village
of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended by adding thereto subsection (j) which
subsection shall read as follows:
11(j) Surcharge.
In addition to any green fee or membership fee paid, each person
utilizing the golf course at the Oak Brook Golf Club shall pay a
surcharge of $1.50 per round of golf played."
Section 10: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
Section 11: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by
law.
