S-1100 - 01/17/2005 - PERSONAL PROPERTY - OrdinancesORDINANCE 2005 -PP -S -1100 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has taken title to the below listed vehicle pursuant to court order and the seizure and forfeiture provisions ,,of the Illinois Criminal Code (see 720 ILCS 5/36 -1 and following sections), and WHEREAS, in the opinion of a majority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to retain the below described vehicle which is surplus personal property now owned by the Village, and WHEREAS, as the below described vehicle is not in good condition, the Village of Oak Brook wishes to turn it over to an auto recycler NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows Section 1 The foregoing recitals are incorporated herein as findings of the corporate authorities Section 2 Pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook find that the following described vehicle YEAR MAKE MODEL VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 1992 Mitsubishi Diamante JA3XC47S9NY045143 now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook and the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook will be served by its disposal Section 3 Pursuant to said 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the Village Manager be and is hereby authorized and directed to turn the aforesaid vehicle, now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, over to an auto recycler Section 4 All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict Section 5 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law APPROVED THIS ` day of January, 2005 KeWfi Quinlan, Village President f Ayes Nays Ordinance 2005 -PP -S -1100 Personal Property Sale, Page 2 PASSED THIS day of January, 2005 Trustees Aktipis, Caleel, Craig, Korin, Yusuf and Zannis None Absent None ATTEST w•o ya- ,ti A� Linda K Gonnella, C Village Clerk
