AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
RELATING TO REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAVEL EXPENSES
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
have heretofore adopted Personnel Rules and Regulations; and
WHEREAS, said Personnel Rules and Regulations have been amended from
time to time; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that said Personnel Rules and
Regulations as previously amended be further amended as hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That Article IX, Section 3, of the Personnel Rules and
Regulations of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section 3. Mileage Reimbursement.
Any employee utilizing his private vehicle for Village business
as approved by the respective Department Head or the Village
Manager (in case of Department Heads) shall be entitled to
reimbursement at the rate of twenty-seven and one-half cents
($0.27j) per mile."
Section 2: That Article XI, Section 4, of the Personnel Rules and
Regulations of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section 4. Reimbursement of Expenses.
The Village shall compensate an employee in attendance at a
conference, provided such attendance is approved by the
respective Department Head, or, in the case of a Department Head,
the Village Manager, in the following manner:
(a) 100% of registration fee.
(b) All reasonable expenses for meals.
(c) Single accommodation for room.

(d) Coach fare for plane, train or bus transportation.*
(e) $0.271 per mile car allowance.
(f) Miscellaneous expenses such as taxi, car rental, etc., if
required.
.The Village will not compensate for expenses for spouses or additional
guests.
*Note: Transportation to conference will be based on the most
economical total cost to the Village of Oak Brook."
Section 3: That except as amended hereby the Personnel Rules and
Regulations of the Village of Oak Brook shall remain in full force and effect
and are hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage and approval pursuant to law.
