G-465 - 05/14/1991 - BOARD OF TRUSTEES - Ordinances ORDINANCE G-465 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK WHEREAS, the corporate authorities by ordinance have previously adopted rules of procedure as incorporated in the Code of Ordinances in Article II of Chapter 2; and WHEREAS, the corporate authorities deem the amendment of those rules to be. appropriate so as to incorporate provisions for a consent agenda; and WHEREAS, 13-11-17 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes specifically authorizes omnibus voting procedures such as the consent agenda; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein. Section 2: That 52-22 of the Code of Ordinances be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2-22. Rules of Procedure Roberts Rules of Order shall govern the proceedings of the Board of Trustees where applicable and when not in conflict with statutes or ordinances, provided, however, that the Board of Trustees may adopt rules of order revising, repealing, amending or supplementing in whole or in part Roberts Rules of Order. In addition, any rules adopted by the Board of Trustees may be suspended by a majority vote of the members present. Section 2-23. Consent Agenda The agenda of each regular meeting of the Board of Trustees may include a consent agenda. A consent agenda shall include those items not requiring separate individual discussion. All items listed on such consent agenda will be enacted by one roll call vote with no separate discussion of those items. If any board member requests separate consideration of any consent agenda item, that item shall be removed from the consent agenda for separate action at some other place on the agenda." Ordinance G-465 Amending Article II of Chapter 2 Relating to Consent Agenda Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after passage and approval pursuant to law.
