AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
REGARDING VENDING MACHINES AND TOBACCO PRODUCTS
BE IT ORDAINED by the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook,
DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 8-182 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village
of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 8-182. Fee.
The annual license fee for a license for each such machine so used
on a premises shall be as follows:
(1) For class A, which includes game machines, amusement machines,
bank money dispensers, juke boxes, cigarette and any machines
with tobacco products, the fee shall be fifty dollars ($50) .
(2) For class B, which includes food and hot drink dispensing
machines, snack, pastry, sandwich, candy, milk, ice cream,
cold drink machines and other edible products, the fee shall
be twenty-five dollars ($25) .
(3) For class C, which includes miscellaneous dispensables such as
stamps, aspirin, etc. , the fee shall be ten dollars ($10) ."
Any machine dispensing tobacco products, in addition to requiring the license
required hereunder, shall be required to comply with the provisions of Section
8-191 of this Code of Ordinances.
Section 2: That Section 8-191 of the Code of Ordinances be and is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 8-191. License required, application, fee.
It shall be unlawful to sell or offer for sale at retail, to give
away, deliver or to keep with the intention of selling at retail,
giving away or delivering tobacco products within the village
without having first obtained a tobacco dealer's license therefor
pursuant to this article.
`-' Such license shall be in addition to any other license required by
this code. Application fbr a license hereunder shall be made in

writing to the village clerk. The license fee for a tobacco
dealer's license shall be fifty dollars ($50) .
The term of said license shall be annual consistent with the term
for licenses as set forth in Section 8-183 of this Code of
Ordinances. Only one tobacco dealer's license shall be required
notwithstanding the number of locations from which the licensee
sells tobacco products."
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner
required by law.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
publish this ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
