AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAR BROOK
RELATING TO THE HOTEL, CONVENTION AND VISITORS COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Ordinance G-452 passed and approved September 25, 1990, created
a Hotel, Convention and Visitors Committee, which ordinance has been codified
as Section 2-180.1 through 2-180.4 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of
Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities desire to amend the provisions of said
ordinance relating to the number of.members of the committee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAR BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That Section 2-180.2 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village
of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 2. Membership, Appointment, Terms
A. There shall be seven members of the Committee. They shall be
appointed as follows:
The Village President shall appoint seven persons to serve as
directors of the Committee subject to the advice and consent of
the Board of Trustees, at least two of whom shall be persons
who operate or manage a hotel or motel within the corporate
limits of the Village.
B. The term of each Committee member shall be for one year or
until their successors are appointed or confirmed.
Appointments shall be made on a yearly basis from March 1 of
one year through February of the following year. "
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage and approval as provided by law.
