AN ORDINANCE MENDING ARTICLE IV OF CHAPTER 11
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAR BROOK
&1-17 .ATING TO TEE POLICE PENSION FUND
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities have previously approved Ordinance
S-108, codified as Article IV of Chapter 11 of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, subsequent statutory amendments have caused said ordinance
provisions to be in conflict with statutory provisions; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities recognize and deem appropriate the
amendment of said Article IV so as to conform to applicable statutory
provisions and not conflict with same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAR BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That Article IV of Chapter 11 be and is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Sec. 11-56. Creation.
There is hereby created a police pension fund pursuant to Illinois
Revised Statutes, Chapter 108J.
Sec. 11-57. Board of trustees.
There is hereby created a board of trustees of the police pension
fund, which shall perform all the duties and obligations as set
forth in Article 3 of Chapter 1081 of the Illinois Revised
Statutes."
Section 2: That Section 11-58 is hereby repealed.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage and approval pursuant to law.
