AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SCHEDULE IX ( "PROHIBITED TURNS ")
OF SECTION 7 -2 -1 ( "TRAFFIC SCHEDULES")
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, IL,
BY REPEALING CERTAIN PROHIBITED TURNS
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook have heretofore
adopted Section 7 -2 -1 of the Village Code which incorporates certain traffic schedules including Section
IX, entitled "Prohibited Turns "; and
WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Village Manager, the Village President and Board of
Trustees deem the repeal of (1) the prohibited right turn onto easterly St. Joseph Drive from northbound
Midwest Road between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, and (2) the
prohibited left turn onto northerly Trinity Lane from eastbound 35`" Street between the hours of 7:00 a.m.
and 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday to be consistent with the interests of the safe and efficient
movement of traffic, given the recent widening of Midwest Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as
though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Schedule IX (Prohibited Turns) of Section 7 -2 -1 of the Village Code of the Village
of Oak Brook is amended by deleting lettered paragraphs (C) and (D) and relettering the remaining items.
Section 3: That the Public Works Director is hereby authorized and directed to remove the
restriction signs located at Midwest Road and St. Joseph Drive, and at 35`h Street and Trinity Lane.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication as required by law.
