G-480 - 01/28/1992 - LICENSE -ALCOHOL - Ordinances ORDINANCE G-480 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK RELATIVE TO LICENSES FOR THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR WHEREAS, Section 110 of Chapter 43 of the Illinois Revised Statutes authorizes the President and Board of Trustees of the Village to establish regulations and restrictions upon the issuance and operation under local licenses not inconsistent with law as the public good and convenience may require; and WHEREAS, Section 3-17 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook sets forth certain classes for retail liquor licenses; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees deem it advisable and in the best interest and in furtherance of the general welfare of the citizens of the Village that said Section 3-17(8) be amended by the incorporation of specific standards for such retail liquor licenses available to lodging facilities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein. Section 2: That Section 3-17(8) of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows: 11(8) Class E: Retail sale of alcoholic liquor for consumption on the premises of lodging facilities for the transient use of employees of the owner of the facilities, their business invitees, and community non-profit organizations invited by the owner, provided that the facilities are not open or held open for general public use." Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law. Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
