AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XIV OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
RELATING TO VILLAGE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees have heretofore
adopted rules and regulations for the Sports Core, Oak Brook Golf Club, and
Bath and Tennis Club, codified as Article XIV of Chapter 14 of the Code of
Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees deem further
amendment of said rules and regulations to be in the best interest and in
furtherance of the general welfare of the citizens of the Village of Oak
Brook;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are
hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Section 14-12(c) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended-to read as follows:

Section 3: That Section 14-12(d) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:

*Note: See subsection (j) for golf surcharge. Any individual who has
either a family or individual membership at the Bath and Tennis Club
will qualify for a twenty percent discount applied to their golf season
membership."
Section 4: That Section 14-13(b) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b) Season membership and fee schedule*:

*Note: Any individual who has either a family or individual membership
at the Bath & Tennis Club will qualify for a 20% discount applied to
their golf season membership.
Memberships effective after August 1st of a given season shall be
payable at the rate of one-third of the applicable rate listed above.
Any season member presenting evidence of sponsorship of another season
member shall be entitled to a fifty-dollar Sports Core gift
certificate."
Section 5: That Section 14-14 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village
of Oak Brook be and is hereby added as follows:
"Sec. 14-14 Oak Brook Resident Sports Core Membership.
Oak Brook Resident Sports Core Membership. An individual who is
currently a resident of the Village of Oak Brook and who pays a $60.00
annual fee is entitled to two (2) Bath & Tennis Club recreation passes,

dining privileges at the Bath & Tennis Club, two (2) tickets to polo
matches held on the Sports Core, and one (1) greens fee at the Oak Brook
Golf Club. For purposes of this section, a resident is any person
permanently residing within the corporate limits of the village and all
full-time, permanent employees of the village, as defined in Article I
of the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the village."
Section 6: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Section 7: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
publish this ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
