G-497 - 12/08/1992 - PERSONNEL RULES & REGS - Ordinances ORDINANCE G- 497 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the corporate authorities previously approved Personnel Rules and Regulations on November 10, 1992; and WHEREAS, the corporate authorities from time to time have amended said Personnel Rules and Regulations; and WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees deem the further amendment of said Personnel Rules and Regulations to be appropriate, and in the best interest of employment relations for the Village of Oak Brook; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein. Section 2: That Sub-sections (e) , (f) and (g) of Section 3 of Article VI of Appendix D, Personnel Rules and Regulations of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows: ARTICLE VI. ATTENDANCE AND LEAVES "Section 3. Holidays. (e) On Saturday. When a holiday, except Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, falls on a Saturday, the previous Friday shall be considered a holiday. If December 25 and January 1 fall on a Saturday, the Christmas Eve and one- half day New Year's Eve holidays will be observed on the previous Thursday and Thursday afternoon, respectively. (f) On Sunday. When a holiday, except Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered a holiday. If December 25 and January 1 fall on a Sunday, the Christmas Eve and one-half day New Year's Eve holiday will be observed on the previous Friday and Friday afternoon, respectively. (g) On Monday. When December 25 and January 1 fall on a Monday, the Christmas Eve holiday and the one-half day New Year's Eve holiday will be observed on the previous Friday and Friday afternoon, respectively. f Ordinance G- 497 Amending the Personnel �,.► Rules and Regulations Page 2 Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law. Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law. PASSED THIS 8th day of December 1992.
