AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IX, SECTION 1
OF THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
have heretofore adopted Personnel Rules and Regulations; and
WHEREAS, said Personnel Rules and Regulations have been amended from
time to time; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that said Personnel Rules and
Regulations as previously amended be further amended to include revised
eligibility requirements for certain health care benefits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1 That Section l(A) (1) of Article IX of the Personnel Rules and
Regulations of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section 1. General Provisions.
(A) Hospitalization Insurance -
(1) Full time employees hired prior to February 1, 1993 are
eligible for hospitalization insurance for themselves and
their dependents on the first day of employment. Full-time
employees hired on or after February 1, 1993 are eligible
for hospitalization insurance for themselves and their
dependents on the ninety-first (91st) day of continuous
employment and at that time are subject to a one-year
waiting period before pre-existing conditions may be
covered. The Major Medical Benefits are described in the
Certificate Booklet of Group Insurance.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
publish this ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
