AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPOSITION OF FEES
FOR CERTAIN CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR) CLASSES
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook through its Fire Department currently
provides cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes to non-residents within
said Village; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the said Village deem it
appropriate to impose a user charge for such service in order to partially
defray the costs to the Village for providing such service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth. are
hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Chapter 6, Article II, Section 6-32 be hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 6-32. Fee for cardiopulmonary resuscitation classes provided
by Village Fire Department:
Whereas the village through its fire department currently provides
cardiopulmonary resuscitation instruction to the non-resident entities of the
village, and the corporate authorities of the village deem it appropriate to
impose a user charge for such service in order to defray partially the cost to
the village to provide such service, a fee is hereby imposed upon any non-
resident requesting such service at the set fee rate described below:
One Instructor Class: 8 Hrs. x Special Duty rate of pay per Article
II, Section 11-25
Two Instructor Class: 14 Hrs. x Special Duty rate of pay per Article
II, Section 11-25
Charges for these classes shall be on a pre-paid basis.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
publish this ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
