AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE G -642,
THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, IL, AS AMENDED,
BY PROHIBITING SOUTHBOUND TO NORTHBOUND "U" TURNS
AT THE INTERSECTION OF MIDWEST ROAD AND KIMBERLEY LANE
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook have heretofore
enacted Ordinance G -642, being a comprehensive amendment to Appendix C, entitled "Traffic
Regulations" within the Village of Oak Brook, which Ordinance has from time to time been amended; and
WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Village Manager, the Village President and Board of
Trustees deem the prohibition of southbound to northbound "U" turns at the intersection of Midwest Road
and Kimberley Lane to be consistent with the interests of the safe and efficient movement of traffic.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as
though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Schedule X ( "U" Turns) of Appendix C of the Traffic Regulations of the Code of
Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook is amended by adding numbered paragraph (7) which paragraph
shall read as follows:
"(7) Southbound to northbound at the intersection of Midwest Road -and Kimberley Lane."
Section 3: That the Public Works Director is hereby authorized and directed to post a "No 'U'
Turn" sign located at southbound Midwest Road at Kimberley Lane.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication as required by law.
