AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE G -642,
THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, IL, AS AMENDED,
TO REDUCE TRAFFIC SPEED ON 351h STREET
FROM ADAMS ROAD TO ILLINOIS ROUTE 83
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook have
enacted Ordinance G -642, being an ordinance regulating traffic within the Village of Oak Brook,
which ordinance from time to time has been amended; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village deem it advisable and in
the best interest and in furtherance of the general welfare of the citizens of the Village that said
Ordinance G -642 be further amended to reduce the speed limit from 30 MPH to 25 MPH on 35th
Street from Adams Road to Illinois Route 83.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby
adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That the preamble to Schedule I. "ALTERED MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS" of
Section 7 -103 ( "Schedules incorporated herein, attached hereto and made a part hereof') is
amended to state as follows:
"Schedule I. "ALTERED MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS"
In accordance with the provisions of 625 ILCS 5/11- 601(c), when signs are
posted giving notice thereof, the maximum speed limit it twenty -five miles per
hour (25 mph) on all municipal streets except as follows:"
Section 3: That the 35th Street exception found in Schedule I. "Altered Maximum Speed
Limits" of Section 7 -103 ( "Schedules incorporated herein, attached hereto and made a part
hereof') is amended to read as follows:

Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Section 5: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this
ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
Section 6: That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
