AN ORDINANCE DELETING SECTIONS 8-61 AND 8-62
OF ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 8 ENTITLED,"VEHICLES FOR HIRE"
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK,ILLINOIS
WHEREAS,the Village Clerk and Village Manager have recommended that Article 11 of Chapter 8
entitled,"Vehicles For Hire"of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook be amended by deleting
provisions limiting the number of taxicabs registered in the Vilalge;and
WHEREAS,the Village President and Board of Trustees have reviewed this amendment and have
approved the changes recommended by the Village Manager;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though
fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Sections 8-61 and 8-62 are hereby deleted.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,approval and
publication as required by law.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this ordinance in
pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
