AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-19
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, IL
AND PROVIDING FOR REVISED REGULAR MEETING DATES
FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, the Board finds that there are fewer conflicts with the regularly scheduled
meetings of other public bodies by scheduling the Village Board's Committee-of-the-Whole
meetings the night before the second regularly scheduled monthly meeting than there are by
the current practice of scheduling Committee-of-the-Whole meetings before the first regularly
scheduled meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That Section 2-19 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook
pertaining to the regular meeting dates of the Board of Trustees be and is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Sec. 2-19. Regular meetings — Dates.
The second and fourth Tuesday of each and every month be and are hereby
declared and established as the official meeting dates for the Board as well as
the Monday which immediately precedes the fourth Tuesday of each and every
month which is hereby established as the official meeting date for the committee-
of-the-whole. No official action will be taken at the committee-of-the-whole
meeting."
Section 2: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication in pamphlet form as required by law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this
ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law and to cause notice of the change in
regular meeting dates made pursuant to this ordinance to be given by publication in a
newspaper of general circulation in the area pursuant to the provisions of 5 ILCS 120/2.03.
