S-1037 - 05/13/2003 - PERSONAL PROPERTY - Ordinances3� 1 t t ORDINANCE 2003 -PP -S -1037 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has taken title to the below listed vehicles pursuant to court order and the seizure and forfeiture provisions of the Illinois Criminal Code (see 720 ILCS 5/36 -1 and following sections); and WHEREAS, in the opinion of a majority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to retain the below described vehicles which are surplus personal property now owned by the Village; and WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook wishes to auction said vehicles over the internet or other auction service; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1: That the foregoing recitals are incorporated herein as findings of the corporate authorities. Section 2: That pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook find that the following described vehicles: YEAR MAKE MODEL COLOR VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 1985 Buick Riviera White 1G4EZ57Y8FE462527 1995 Chrysler LHS Black 2C3HC56F1 SH664507 1993 Ford Pickup Blue 1 FTCR10A8PUC20233 1995 Ford Probe Black 1 ZVLT20AOS5108372 1983 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Maroon 1 G3AN37A7DM797089 now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, are no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook and the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook will be served by their sale. Section 3: That pursuant to said 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the Village Manager be and he is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforesaid vehicles, now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, to the highest bidder by auction over the internet or other auction service. Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, by at least three fourths of all the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law.
