AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE G -399, ENTITLED
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE FRANCHISING
AND REGULATION OF CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEMS
IN THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, on or about May 26, 1987 the Village Board passed Ordinance No G -399, entitled
"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE FRANCHISING AND REGULATION OF CABLE TELEVISION
SYSTEMS IN THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS "(1987 Ordinance "), and
WHEREAS, on or about April 22, 2003 the Village Board passed Ordinance No 2003 -CB -G -718,
entitled "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE FRANCHISING AND REGULATION OF CABLE
TELEVISION SYSTEMS IN THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS "( "2003 Ordinance "), and
WHEREAS, the Village Board wishes to repeal the 1987 Ordinance, as it has been superseded
by the 2003 Ordinance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DUPAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows
Section 1 That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as
though fully set forth herein
Section 2: That Ordinance G -399, entitled "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE
FRANCHISING AND REGULATION OF CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEMS IN THE VILLAGE OF OAK
BROOK, ILLINOIS ", passed and approved on or about May 26, 1987, is hereby repealed and is of no
further force or effect
Section 3 That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication in pamphlet form
Section 4 That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this ordinance in
pamphlet form as required by law
